Why Geography?
- We are delivering the curriculum innovatively, which is proving to be popular with pupils and staff.
- As a class teacher, you will have a specialist subject (for this job, it will be Geography).
- This means that you will teach Geography English, Mathematics, RE, PSHE, History and some PE to your class.
- Science, Computing, Art, Design Technology, Music, MFL and some PE will be taught by specialists.
- You will teach Geography to Year 2 through to Year 6 (on rotation one year group per week).
How will this benefit you?
· You will have a bespoke CPD package linked to your specialist subject.
· You will receive weekly leadership time, in addition to your PPA, to develop your own skills and delivery of the specialist subject.
· You will have a unique view of standards, progress, prior knowledge of pupils in your subject and complete control of the subject resources and storage cupboard!
· You will gain experience of teaching years 2 through to 6.
How else will we help you to deliver good teaching?
· We do not ask for written plans from good or outstanding teachers.
· We do not ask you to cover break duty.
· We do not ask you to run an extra-curricular club.
This provides you with additional time to prepare, resource and set up lessons.
