Hours - 37 per week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 7:00 am - 5:30 pm & Friday 7:00 am - 5:00 pm, Including a 3 hour lunch break, all breaks are unpaid)

We are looking for a conscientious and self motivated Regional Caretaker to join our supportive and collaborative team. We strive to provide an aesthetically stimulating, nurturing environment for all our pupils and staff to learn, work, and play safely.   The Regional Caretaker will play a crucial role in keeping our school in perfect condition so our children can access the first-class education we can offer in an environment that is clean, safe and secure. You will have responsibility for security, monitoring, cleaning, building and maintenance.

You will be conscientious, dynamic and work well as part of the wider trust Estates team.  To be considered for this role, you will need experience and knowledge of regulatory bodies and compliance. You will be responsible for all planned maintenance, health and safety compliance, including carrying out and reviewing premises-related risk assessments and action plans. A good selection of DIY / Handyperson skills is essential.

The RegionalCaretaker will be based at Heybridge Primary School and may be used across the Essex region if required. If used across the Essex region travel cost would be compensated.

Information about the School

Heybridge Primary School currently has 396 pupils ranging from 4 – 11 years.

We have a bright modern building, which is well equipped and is set within unusually generous grounds with playing fields and gardens. We are acknowledged as a friendly school within our local community and benefit from easy access to local amenities.

In December 2012 we converted to Academy status and became part of the highly prestigious Kemnal Academies Trust (TKAT). The School shares good links with other primary and secondary schools in the Maldon area, so can provide wider learning experiences and networking opportunities with our neighbours and also schools within the TKAT family.
