St. Joseph's Catholic Primary School are seeking to appoint a School Caretaker who is calm, resilient, enthusiastic, self-motivated and well organised. The successful applicant should have a good relationship with pupils as well as parents and staff.
Actual Pay -£15,678 - £18,592
Hours - 25 per week
The job involves a split shift 7am - 9am and 3pm - 6pm (During the holiday periods these hours can be negotiated)
Holiday must be taken in school holiday time.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
A firm commitment to our school, its appearance and presentation
Skill in DIY, the ability to make repairs and carry out general maintenance
An energetic, pro-active attitude and the ability to use initiative
An ability to work as part of a team and manage an additonal two cleaning staff members
An understanding of health and safety and security procedures as required by legislation
An ability to liaise and manage cleaning staff and contractors
A good standard of written English/ICT skills in order to maintain accurate records as directed by the school
Duties will also include locking and unlocking of the premises, to act as a key holder and attend out of hour call-outs (overtime).
