Job Description

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and effective Higher Level Teaching Assistant. This role includes running interventions and teaching classes and small groups of children. The successful candidate will become part of our friendly and hard-working team which is dedicated to ensuring our children learn well and are well cared for.

The successful candidate will:

· Place children at the centre of all they do

· Have a calm and positive manner

· Be flexible, patient and well organised

· Use their initiative but also work as part of a team

· Be able to maintain a safe working environment

· Be fair, caring and have a sense of humour

· Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills

The post is 39 weeks, term time plus inset days. The hours of work are from 08:25 to 16:30 on Monday and 08.25 to 15:10 Tuesday to Friday.

Scale 5 point 8-11 (£10.14 - £10.97 per hour).

We are a small village school. Ours is a rural location just twenty minutes from Colchester and ten minutes from Dovercourt and Harwich.
