LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT
LGS Scale Band 2 + London Fringe Allowance (pro rata)
25 hours per week - Term-time only (actual starting salary - £10,429)
Learning Support Assistants are required to support a variety of students with additional and specific learning needs in the classroom (8.55 am - 2.45 pm daily). There is also a requirement to work with students offsite at an alternative provision. Experience is desirable but a willingness to learn is essential as well as having good numeracy and literacy skills. GCSE grade A-C (or equivalent) in English and Maths is required however, if not already gained a committment to work towards a GCSE whilst in post would be acceptable.
The Governing Body is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Successful candidates will be subject to DBS clearance.
