Thank you for your interest in this exciting opportunity to join the Central ICT Team at SEAX Trust. As a growing multi-academy trust of five special schools across Essex, we are proud to offer a fully managed ICT service that supports teaching, learning, and administration across all our sites.
Our schools span Essex; from Brentwood, to Chelmsford and on to Colchester. They serve over six hundred wonderful young people with a range of special educational needs: from moderate learning difficulties; speech, language and communication needs and social, emotional & mental health needs, as well as meeting the needs of a significant group of pupils in all of our schools with an autism diagnosis.
At SEAX, we work to make sure that every young person has an excellent education, which gives them every chance for the brightest of futures. We believe learning is more than simply expanding knowledge, but for our young people it is about developing skills and opportunities to be ready for a great future contributing to their communities. It starts with the relationships we build together in our educational communities and has led to our values, which are: 'Removing Barriers, Widening Opportunity, Creating Futures'.
Key to our success is the commitment of our highly valued body of staff. They are the people who have made our schools the joyful, kind beacons of hard work and learning they are today. You will find some of their testimonies in this pack and further information on our websites, but if you would like to visit or speak to us to find out more, we would welcome your phone call or email.
As our Trust continues to grow, we are excited to offer a new opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed Services & Infrastructure Manager to join our dynamic ICT Team. In this role, you will work closely with experienced colleagues to deliver high-quality technical support across SEAX Trust schools. You will therefore play a vital part in ensuring the effective operation, maintenance, and security of our ICT systems and services. You will lead the Trust's ICT Helpdesk function, oversee the maintenance and development of infrastructure and cloud services, and act as a senior technical escalation point, helping to ensure that technology systems remain secure, reliable and effective across all of our schools.
Working alongside the Director of IT & Digital Transformation, you will help translate the Trust's strategic objectives into operational delivery, supporting cyber security initiatives, infrastructure projects and service improvements that enable staff and students to make the most of technology. As part of a supportive team, you will have access to guidance and expertise from professionals, enabling you to develop your skills while ensuring staff and students have reliable access to the technology they need. This is an essential role within our Trust, helping to keep our ICT systems running smoothly and securely.
As you discover more about us, if you feel you support our values and think you might be someone special who could make a difference for our young people at SEAX, we most certainly want to hear from you.
Information about the School
Established in 2015 The SEAX Trust is a multi academy trust of five academies, each with their unique style and specialism. Our schools span Essex: from Brentwood, to Chelmsford and on to Colchester. They serve over five hundred wonderful young people with a range of special educational needs: from moderate learning difficulties; speech language and communication needs; social, emotional and mental health needs as well as meeting the needs of a significant group of pupils in all of our schools with an autism diagnosis. Another aspect of our work is providing support to mainstream schools around meeting the needs of young people with autism and the Mid- Essex Autism Hub.
We are proud to be a Trust that is continually evolving to meet the changing needs of young people with special educational needs. The successful opening of The Hawthorns, our fifth school, has expanded our specialist provision for young people with autism, and in September 2026 the school further enhanced its offer with the launch of its EBSA provision, Hawthorns Connect. As a forward-thinking Trust, we remain committed to developing innovative services and expanding opportunities to ensure every young person receives the education and support they need to achieve their full potential.
SEAX Trust is a Disability Confident Employer.
