Job Details

In this role you will provide effective administrative support to coordinate Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and High Needs processes within the Additional Learning Support department. You will ensure statutory deadlines are met, documentation is accurate and compliant, and communication with local authorities and internal teams is timely, supporting the college in meeting its legal, regulatory and funding obligations.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records for learners with EHCPs, ensuring compliance with statutory and college requirements.
  • Track and manage EHCP deadlines, including annual reviews, ensuring all actions and documentation are completed and submitted on time.
  • Coordinate EHCP annual review processes, including scheduling meetings, issuing invitations, and preparing and distributing paperwork.
  • Support High Needs funding administration by preparing applications, tracking claims and deadlines, and maintaining accurate funding records.
  • Produce data reports and updates for ALS managers, ensuring information is accurate, accessible, GDPR-compliant, and supports effective decision-making.

The right candidate will have:

Essential:

  • A good all round standard of education, particularly in English & Communications
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and how to apply it effectively
  • Ability to use your own initiative
  • Ability to work as part of a team, demonstrating an effective contribution
  • Discretion and the ability to handle difficult situations with sensitivity
  • An ability to prioritise and work independently
  • Possess effective communication skills and be able to relate to staff & students at all levels
  • Open minded, honest, motivated and inspiring

Desirable:

  • A recognised administration qualification
  • Educated to A Level/BTEC or equivalent
  • Previous experience working in the FE or education based industry
