Trinity St Mary's C of E Primary School is a fantastic one form entry primary school in the heart of South Woodham Ferrers, where our Christian values underpin everything we do. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, friendly, caring and effective Midday Assistant to join our school for the summer term. The role will involve supervising children in the dining hall and on the playground during lunchtimes. Duties include interacting with children to encourage good social skills and leading activities to encourage participation.

Duties will include:

· supervising children in the lunch hall, classrooms and the playground

· prepare the dinner hall for lunch and clear away afterwards

· encourage healthy eating

· administer first aid if required

· interact with children to encourage good social skills

· respect the need for confidentiality

· lead games with the children

The successful candidate will:

Have a calm and positive manner
Have the ability to work as part of a team and have high expectations of themselves and children
Be caring and supportive

Be adaptable and able to work with initiative

Confident in dealing with young people, maintaining discipline

The position is being offered on a fixed term basis until 17th July 2026. The role is Monday to Friday 11.45am to 12.30pm term time.
