Contract Term: Permanent,Term Time Only
Start Date: May 2026
Hours: Mon - Fri 1 hr 10 mins per day
Pay Scale: Level 3 - FTE £25,583. Actual Salary £3,417 per annum
We are looking torecruit a Midday Assistant to join our OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) play team, to support lunchtimes, ensure children's safetyand wellbeing and developan enriching play environment.
Key responsibilities include organising play resources, implementing play activities, and supporting the social and behavioural development of pupils. The role also involves working with pupils, supporting student play leaders, and collaborating with other staff.
We are looking for people who:
- enjoy working with children from Reception to Year 6
- can be creative in developing enriching play activities and games to engage different age groups
- can help children to develop friendships and to resolve issues with each other
- are able to work as part of a team, flexibly meeting the needs of the children
- are able to organise resources and check they are safe for use
- are reliable and able to work Monday to Friday inclusively
- the applicant must be computer literate, mainly being able to send/receive emails and complete a variety of online training.
