Position: Assistant Catering Manager
Grade of pay: Scale 4 Point 7
Contract Term: Permanent
Start date: Monday 2nd September 2025. We appreciate that the successful candidate may have to give notice, and we can work around this.
Contracted hours -
30 hours per week term time plus one week
A vacancy has arisen within our primary school for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Assistant Catering Manager to work in our Catering team.
This is a key role within our school kitchen. The Assistant Catering Manager will work alongside our Catering Manager and deputise in their absence. They will support in the preparation, cooking and service of all menu items and assist with the general cleaning of the kitchen and maintaining high standards of hygiene in accordance with food handling and hygiene regulations.
The ideal candidate will:
· Have catering experience
· Have Food Health & Safety Level 2
· Have allergy awareness
· Be flexible and able to use their own initiative
· Be able to work as part of a team
The successful candidate will become part of our friendly and hard-working team, which is dedicated to ensuring our children are safe, learn well and are well cared for.
Training and on-going support will be available as part of our commitment to staff development. Experience is preferred but not essential.
