Deputy Catering Manager

Salary: £15,297 actual annual salary (based on 25 hours a week)
(FTE £26,409 - 27,711) LG Scale 5, spine point 9-12
Hours to be negotiated, 39 weeks per year
An exciting opportunity has arisen in one of the country's leading selective schools, (awarded The Sunday Times Parent Power East Anglia State Secondary School of the Decade), to work in our friendly and supportive catering team.
The role will involve assisting our Catering Manager in a busy kitchen environment, preparing high quality, nutritious food from scratch to an excellent standard.
The successful candidate will be confident covering managerial tasks at times of peak demand or when the Catering Manager is absent, including leading the team. They will need to be able to work towards a kitchen business plan, support with menu planning and ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and allergen procedures. The successful candidate will also possess outstanding people skills and be well organised.

Working hours: within the hours of 7.00am and 3.30pm three days a week, days and exact timings to be agreed with the successful candidate. Term time only, including inset days, plus additional hours for ad hoc events.
