Chelmsford College is seeking a compassionate and proactive Learner Engagement Officer to join the Safeguarding and Wellbeing team. In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for learners in need of support, providing guidance, identifying barriers to learning, and working collaboratively with internal teams and external agencies to ensure learners receive the right help at the right time. You'll play a visible role on campus, engaging with students, supporting care-experienced and vulnerable learners, and using data to create effective support plans that improve wellbeing, engagement, and retention.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting young people, strong communication and organisational skills, and a good understanding of the wider issues affecting learners in Further Education. The ability to work sensitively and professionally in a fast-paced environment is essential. If you're passionate about making a difference in learners' lives, we'd love to hear from you.

The College is committed to equality and diversity and to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. We expect all staff to share these commitments. Starting salary will be dependent on qualifications, skills and experience.

This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.

Applications will be considered upon receipt.
