About the role:
We are seeking an outstanding and dedicated Deputy Head of Sixth Form to join our vibrant post-16 team at Notley High School & Braintree Sixth Form.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and talented teacher with a passion for supporting students through the critical final years of their school journey. You will play a pivotal role in the academic and personal development of our sixth formers, helping them to thrive and succeed.
Notley High School & Braintree Sixth Form was rated 'Good' by Ofsted in July 2023, and we are proud of the inclusive, ambitious and supportive culture we have built for both students and staff.
This role is also accompanied by teaching responsibilities in any of the following subjects:
- Maths
- Design Technology
- Social Sciences (including Psychology)
You will work closely with the Head of Sixth Form and be responsible for:
- Monitoring and supporting student academic progress using ALPS data
- Leading on attendance, punctuality, behaviour, and wellbeing
- Supporting student recruitment and ensuring a smooth transition into Year 12
- Managing and developing the sixth form tutor team
- Leading the delivery and quality assurance of the EPQ
- Coordinating student voice, leadership, and enrichment opportunities
- Representing the Sixth Form at key events and celebrations
