We are looking for a dedicated, dynamic and enthusiastic SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly school, based in Rayleigh, Essex. The successful applicant will have a belief in inclusion and the right of every pupil to maximise their potential whatever their needs and abilities.
The ideal candidate will:
- be flexible, resilient and hardworking, providing 1:1 support to personalise and adapt learning to meet the needs of SEN pupils.
- be able to work collaboratively with the SENCo, class teachers and other members of staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for SEN learners.
- have good knowledge of how to positively support and enable children to thrive
- have experience of supporting pupils with complex needs
- demonstrate a strong understanding of autism and supporting pupils with autism within a mainstream setting
- Be able to confidently deliver activities and interventions across the school as required, under direction of the class teacher and SENCO.
Ideally the candidate will have experience of delivering language and communication interventions, such as 'Musical Communication', 'Bucket Time' and 'Talk Boost'.
- Have a high level of emotional intelligence and excellent communication/interaction skills
