We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic individual to join our team to work as a classroom Learning Support Assistant together with the option to provide lunch cover as a Midday Assistant.
The Learning Support Assistant role is paid at Local Government Scale 3 Points 5-6 and is for 15 hours per week for the 38 weeks of term time only. The working hours are from 9:00am to 12:00pm from Monday to Friday and the actual annual salary is in the range £7,967 to £8,100 per annum.
The Learning Support Assistant role involves:
· Working under the guidance of a class teacher to deliver planned learning activities and interventions;
· Promoting and supporting positive behaviour;
· Monitoring and recording pupil progress and providing feedback to children as necessary;
· Working constructively as part of a wider team in the classroom and the school;
· Working flexibly to support other team members as required and building positive relationships with staff and parents.
We are looking for someone with good literacy and numeracy skills, and you must have a GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths at grade A to C. Home Farm Primary School is part of The Alpha Trust.
We are also offering the option to provide lunch cover daily from 12pm to 13:30pm Monday to Friday for 38 weeks of term time only as a Midday Assistant, which is paid at Local Government Scale 1 Point 2. The actual annual salary is £3,791.
This optional Midday Assistant role would involve assisting children with selecting their meals; clearing tables; maintaining good behaviour and conduct; administering basic first aid and where necessary leading games and activities with the children.
