1:1 Learning Support Assistant to work term-time including non-pupil days. (38 weeks plus five days non-pupil
30 hours per week - Hours 8.45am to 3.15pm with a 30 minute lunch break.
Lyons Hall Primary School is looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to co-educate on of our Year 1 children who has an ASD diagnosis and SEMH within our school setting.(This role will be for the duration of the pupil's time at Lyons Hall).
You will need to work alongside the Class Teacher, SENCo and family to provide effective and nurturing support, guidance and enhance the personal development of our pupil.
You will be required to carry out a personalised curriculum, necessary intervientions and offer lunchtime support for the child. Training from relevant stakeholders will be provided.
The ideal candidate will:
- have a good understanding of Safeguarding and Welfare.
- be able to communicated effectively and build good relationships with children, families and colleagues.
- have experience of supporting children with ASD and SEMH in a mainstream setting.
- be able to take direction from a range of stakeholders and be adaptable in your approach.
- have a genuine passion for working with children with additional needs and the commitment that children are a the centre of everything you do.
- Be inclusive.
It would be beneficial to have some knowledge of TPP (Trauma Perceptive Practice).
