We are looking to appoint a MiddaySupervisor/OPAL Lead to join our lunchtime and play team to support, inspire and engage children at Gosbecks Primary School to 'be the best you can be.'
The successful candidate will be able to lead a small friendly team. They should be able to engage with children, support and care for them, deal with any issues in a calm and positive way and ensure that lunchtimes are safe, positive and happy.
Duties will include:
- Leading and organising the midday and OPAL team
- Supervising children in the lunch hall and classrooms
- Supervising our OPAL play zones, implementing fun playtimes which encourage all types of play https://outdoorplayandlearning.org.uk/
- Working with the OPAL team in school to develop OPAL
- Preparing the dinner hall for lunch and clearing away afterwards
- Encouraging healthy eating
- Administering first aid
- Respecting the need for confidentiality

The post will involve working 12 hours per week - 11-30-13-30, Monday to Friday plus 2 hours per week (which can be flexible) during term time only at Scale 3 points 5-6.
The vacancy is fixed term for a period of one year with the opportunity to become permanent after this.
