Contract Type: Term time plus Staff Development days (39 working weeks), Permanent (Mon - Fri 8.00am-4.00pm)

We are looking to recruit a Reflection Room Leader who will be responsible for working with students who need additional support with their behaviour for learning. OPA operates a 'Disruption-Free Learning' policy and as part of that, has a Reflection Room as a space for students who have found it difficult to learn in lessons. This role is a crucial appointment for us and requires someone who has high expectations of student conduct and behaviour but can offer the right support through kindness to our students to help them reflect and improve their approach to learning.

Ormiston Park Academy is an academy who value its staff and their continued professional development and so provided you have the core skills needed to help and support our students, we will help to develop your knowledge to become expert at what you do.

To be considered for this opportunity, ideally you will:

· Have excellent inter-personal skills

· Share the philosophy that students should be treated with kindness whilst being clear about expectations and holding them to account for their behaviour choices

· Be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

· Have achieved GCSE Maths, English (essential) and Science (desirable) at grade C/4 or above

· Be calm and resilient under pressure

· Be able to support children to make better choices in their learning

· Be able to support children's learning in the Reflection Room (work will be provided)

· Have competent IT skills to enable you to look at basic data and create short reports about the Reflection Room usage

· Be excited to be part of our team helping OPA continue its journey to excellence
