Bridge Academy Trust are looking to recruit an experienced, outstanding practitioner to cover the role of Excellence Leader - Science for the duration of one year (Maternity Cover) from 1st January 2024. The role is available to teachers or leaders of Science.

The successful candidate will be expected to complete a variety of roles including the delivery of high quality lessons in one of Bridge Academy Trust's schools and undertaking the role of an Excellence Leader in their specialist subject area.

Candidates do not have to be a current Middle Leader to apply for this role.

The successful candidate will be part of the Central School Improvement Team, with a central contract rather than one linked to a specific school. Teaching deployment will be dependent on the needs of Bridge Academy Trust secondary schools at the time of the appointment.

Purpose

-To develop the sustainable leadership skills of identified subject leads within the trust

-To support the development of a named subject area across Bridge Academy Trust at secondary level (11 - 19)

-To support the Subject Leaders to ensure excellent outcomes (& progress) for all schools (pupils) within Bridge Academy Trust, with specific focus on those schools deemed to be 'at risk' of not achieving a high quality of education provision

-To be a positive ambassador for Bridge Academy Trust

-To be a critical professional friend to the schools, helping Senior Leadership

-Assist in the evaluation of school performance, identify priorities for improvement and plan effective change
