Assistant Headteacher for Safeguarding and Inclusion

L12-L16 plus outer fringe
Required for April 2024 an experienced, knowledgeable, and charismatic leader to fill this pivotal role within our organisation.
We have a strong reputation for both SEND and Pastoral Care at Shenfield High School and we are rightly proud of both. We have not been immune to the changes schools have experienced post-COVID regarding the enhanced need many of our young people now present with, but we have responded positively and creatively to ensure that we are able to support All of our students through the curriculum.
The successful candidate is likely to have experience working within the areas of SEND or Pastoral in a mainstream secondary school and will have the energy and knowledge to impact these areas in a cohesive and strategic way for the benefit of the whole school. The job description is an indicative one and can be adjusted to accommodate the particular strengths and experience of the successful candidate.
Shenfield High School is a standalone 11-18 Academy with a comprehensive ethos and a commitment to high academic standards supported by a significant investment in pastoral care and wellbeing.
The school is conveniently located close to Shenfield mainline station on the line into London Liverpool Street and home to the eastern terminus of the new cross rail Elizabeth Line. The school's location attracts outer fringe London allowance.
