Rayleigh Primary School
HEADTEACHER
Start Date: ASAP
Full Time / Permanent
L11 - L24
SEAMAT is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, the prevention of discrimination and the promotion of equality of opportunity for all and expects all staff and volunteers to share these commitments.
Due to our current Headteacher deciding to step back from headship and return to being an Assistant Head, the Trust is looking to appoint a child-focused, dynamic
individual with exceptional leadership skills who will uphold the academic ethos of the school. Candidates must have high expectations for all pupils and be committed to working within a family of schools.
We are a larger than average primary school (NOR 459) with a pre-school (Class of 30, which we hope to grow) and swimming pool, situated in the town centre (a
location we hope our new headteacher will make full use of). Our Vision highlights our school's mission to create pupils who have high aspirations for themselves and
others. Our new headteacher will be committed to ensuring that that every child excels and ensuring that teaching standards are always exceptional.
The Trust and our new CEO are passionate promoters of individuality amongst schools and the autonomy of headteachers - while ensuring that each school within
the Trust works well together to reduce duplication and to ensure that learning is put first. The new headteacher will form part of the Trust executive team to shape the
Trust as a whole and involved in trust wide decision making.
A new headteacher will be supported to develop leadership capacity in their school through support from an experienced headteacher a mentor.
The CEO would welcome the chance to have an informal conversation and he can be contacted on: CEO@seamat.org
Please apply by using an application form which can be requested from miss.browne@rayleighprimary.org.uk
CLOSING DATE: 7th Dec (5pm)
INTERVIEWS & ASSESSMENT: 14th and 15th Dec (TBC)
Shortlisted candidates must be available to attend on both days
