JOB VACANCY FOR AN INCLUSION ADMIN ASSISTANT at Great Wakering Primary Academy
Hours: 8:30 - 2:30pm Monday to Friday in term time - 22.5 hours per week + inset days
Scale 6, Pts 13 - 17 Actual Salary £14009.85 - £15200.15 - FTE £26873 - £28770
We are looking to appoint an experienced and dedicated Administrator to join our Inclusion team. In this post, you will work alongside the SENco and family liaison officer to contribute to the work of the pastoral team.
General Responsibilities:
· Provide clerical support to the SENDCo
· To maintain student SEND records.
· Writing, monitoring, and updating key documentation including One plan, Provision Map and Annual Review documentation.
· To support the Inclusion Lead in the creation of students one plans and to monitor and oversee.
· To develop a secure understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and the impact SEND has on teaching and learning.
· To support the Inclusion Lead in the identification of SEND students and help implement, assess, plan review cycle.
· To take minutes in meetings.
· Organise meetings for the Inclusion Lead.
· To ensure that confidentiality is maintained.
· To support the role of parents in student's learning and convene meetings with parents to provide constructive feedback and guidance on student's attainment and progress, etc.
· To provide direct support for parents/carers of pupils with emotional and/or behavioural difficulties in order to support the work undertaken in school.
· To establish and co-ordinate links with a variety of agencies working with pupils who have emotional and/or behavioural difficulties.
· To undertake all duties relating to pupil punctuality, attendance and general records.
· To contact parents/guardians on a daily basis concerning student absence.
· To effectively use SIMS to ensure the production of reports, letters and documents as required for attendance.
· To lead upon monitoring, identifying and call back on pupil lateness.
· To write care plans and distribute to staff
The duties above are neither exclusive nor exhaustive and the post holder may be required by the Headteacher to carry out appropriate duties within the context of the job, skills and grade.
