Southend East Community Academy Trust (SECAT) are seeking to appoint a Trust Head Maintenance Technician, City & Guilds Level 3 in carpentry, plumbing or electrics are essential.

The Trust Head Maintenance Technician will report through to the Trust Estates Manager and provide support to all Schools and Central Teams within the Trust. Assisting the Trust Estates Manager in the delivery of projects of high complexity and management of the maintenance technician team's workload. The Head Maintenance Technician will have line management responsibility for the maintenance technician division of the Estates Team and the co-ordination and management of the maintenance apprenticeship programme. They will deputise for the Trust Estates Manager in their absence.

The Head Maintenance Technician will have a friendly, helpful, and caring nature, be professional, decisive, quick to act and be able to work autonomously. This position will suit someone passionate about delivering excellent service standards, identifying opportunities, implementing change where necessary and getting the best out of the maintenance team.

The Central Finance Team, ICT Team, Estates Team and HR Team are all based in schools within the MAT, as is the Director of Education.
