37 hours per week, 08.30 - 16.30 Monday-Thursday & 08.30 - 16.00 Friday
Actual Salary £19,087 - £25,442 inclusive of Fringe Allowance
&
32 ½ hours per week 08.30 - 15.30 5 days per week
Actual Salary £17,398 - £22,348 inclusive of Fringe Allowance
We are seeking to appoint two Learning and Behaviour Mentors, one working 37 hours per week and one working 32 ½ hours per week. The successful candidates will provide mentoring and support to students, working with key members of staff to draw up and implement an action plan for each student identified as requiring specific additional support. They will join a team of staff supporting students to access the curriculum in school.
The successful candidates would be expected to:
To work with a range of students but to give priority to those who need the most support, especially those experiencing multiple disadvantages.
Support identified students to access the social and academic curriculum appropriate to their needs and understanding.
To support all students entering or returning to school in order to identify those who required additional support overcoming issues relating to attendance, behaviour and those returning following a period of exclusion.
Support students with literacy, numeracy and behavioural needs across all year groups
Support students in small groups and on a one to one basis
Be able to work under direction and on own initiative
