Job Description

Cleaner - 12 ½ hours per week

Monday to Friday (3.15pm- 5.45pm)

Working weeks are 38 weeks term time, 5 x non pupil days, plus 4 weeks during holiday period, totalling 43 working weeks per year. This equates to 49.8 paid weeks per year. There is some flexibility around hours during holiday periods if required as well as potential for overtime

Giffards Scale 1 Actual Salary - £5798

Giffards Primary School requires a new cleaner. Previous experience is preferred, but not essential. A willingness to be flexible will be helpful.

Duties will also include general cleaning and dealing with spillages as per job description.

Visits are warmly welcomed and encouraged.

Closing date: Midday Friday 8th July 2022

The closing date will be earlier if a suitable candidate is found.

Information about the School

Giffards has been a primary school for 20 years and a standalone acdemy since 2014. We currently have 14 classes with 408 pupils. We are a welcoming, friendly and inclusive primary academy, where we nurture and celebrate the achievements of all of our children. We have a large, experienced team of teachers and LSAs as well as specialist Music and PE staff. We have invested heavily in ICT; all our classrooms have interactive screens as does our music room. Every child has access to their own chrome book as well as a set of headphones. All teaching staff have their own laptops which are used for planning and centralisation of information and resources.

Giffards Primary School continues to be a good school. The pupils at Giffards Primary School are walking, talking examples of the school’s values, particularly being caring and respectful. They build warm, supportive relationships with staff - Ofsted March 2022
