Prettygate Infant and Junior Schools are seeking to appointment a School Business Manager to support the leadership team provide the best of education for the children we serve in our community. We are looking to appoint an experienced leader who has experience of leading a successful team. Ideally, you will be creative, solution focused and someone who is able to get the best out of the team they lead

We are technically two separate schools, with a federated governing body, but work very much as one school community. We are looking for the right individual that will support us in this unique way of working.

The successful candidate will:

- Be aligned to our school's Core Values of Ambition, Respect and Kindness

- Work as part of a dynamic and focused Senior Leadership Team, providing strategic support to the Headteacher and Governing Body in order that the schools can meet its educational aims

- Provide professional leadership and management of the Office staff based at both the infant and junior school, Site Manager, Midday Assistants and Catering Staff

- Have current knowledge and experience of working in finance and managing budgets, ideally in an education setting

- Be able to communicate effectively with staff and Governors, both orally and in writing

- Be very organized, approachable, able to work under pressure and have excellent people skills

- Be experienced in the use of IT systems (ideally SIMs, FMS and Microsoft Office 365) including Payroll systems

- Have experience of all areas of HR and follow Local Authority and local policies and procedures

- Be self-motivated, hardworking, flexible and able to build constructive, positive relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders

- Have a calm, professional manner, always maintaining discretion and able to handle difficult conversations professionally and sensitively

- Understand and be compliant with procedures and legislation relating to confidentiality and GDPR

Ideally, the successful candidate will have a School Business Manager qualification, such as CSBM, DSBM, or ILM diploma (or be willing to work towards this).
