JOB VACANCY FOR A LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT
atBarling Magna Primary Academy
17.5 hours per week LSA term time only
Monday to Friday 08:30 to 12:00
Scale 3, Pay Range Points 4 to 5
We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring Learning Support Assistant to join our team.
The successful candidate will have a good understanding and experience of balancing the complex individual social and emotional needs of children whilst maintaining a sense of fairness in class. A good understanding of child development and key skills in encouraging, yet challenging children to achieve academically and socially within this setting is required. The ability to work collaboratively with the class team and other professionals in a busy, vibrant school team is also essential. Good literacy and numeracy skills as well as effective ICT skills are necessary.
Prior school experience is desirable.
All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of children and young people. All positions will involve appropriate checks and clearances.
