We require a Relief caretaker on an as and when basis soon as possible to provide relief for our caretaker.
On days you are required to work, you will be working a split shift (7.15am - 9.15am & 2.30pm -5.30.pm Mon - Fri) The rate of pay will be £10.14 per hour + pay per hour for statutory leave of £1.22.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and practical person.
You must have an aptitude for cleaning, maintenance tasks, be able to work on your own initiative and be able to follow instructions. Key duties will include site security - unlocking and locking, caretaking, cleaning, minor repairs and general maintenance duties.
You will need to be in good health due to the physical nature of some of the work and have a flexible approach to a variety of tasks, whilst understanding the need to prioritise workload, to ensure good risk management in a school environment.
It is essential that this vacancy is filled by a candidate that takes pride in the learning environment of the school and understands the importance of their contribution to the positive experience of our children.
Previous experience in a similar position would be beneficial. Qualifications or experience in a trade (electrical, plumbing, building) would also be desirable.
A general overview of Health and Safety would also be an advantage but training will be given.
You will need to be able to communicate effectively with people including children, staff, outside contractors and school governors.
