Food Technician
Salary: NJC 3-5
Hours: 30 hours per week

We are looking for a proactive and organised individual to work as our new Food Technician to assist with the raising of standards and achievement of the food department at all key stages. You will work with the Head of department and class teachers, assisting the teacher with the technical and practical delivery of lessons where appropriate. In addition, you will demonstrate to students, the use of food equipment and practical techniques under the direction of the Head of Department/class teacher.
You will help monitor resources/ ingredients in the food area and assist staff in the production of a wide variety of teaching resources and organisation. Information about the School
New Rickstones Academy is a co-educational 11-19 comprehensive, part of Lift Schools. We have approximately 135 staff.
The school has modern, state of the art building offering a first class learning and working environment to students and staff. The main building opened in 2012 and a new 2-storey building was added in September 2022 to accommodate our rapidly increasing popularity and student numbers. This success is also evident in our increasing published admission number (PAN), up to 240 from 180 since September 2022.
