We are seeking to appoint a class teacher to come and join our friendly team and inspire our children. This post is for an April start at the beginning of the Summer Term and will be in our Year 5/6 class for at least the first year.
Salary will be paid according to appropriate experience and qualifications. NQTs and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply.
We provide all teachers with effective opportunities for professional development. If you come and join our team you will be joining one that works hard for the good of all our children and one that enjoys cake, chocolates and 'chippy Fridays'!
All our team work together to help children develop well in every way. This is reflected in all sorts of ways including:
· Academic progress which is improving
· An exciting curriculum which offers children great learning opportunities in and out of school. For example, in the Autumn Term, when learning about the Stone Age, one class undertook a local visit, made Stone Age shelters in the school grounds and, on a wood fire, cooked 'Stone Age' stew, venison and snails
· Our children's strong development in PE, supported by our Sports Coach
· The small group teaching, for English and mathematics, that they now receive when in Years 5 and 6.
As you consider applying for our post we encourage you to come for an informal visit and a conversation with me or our Deputy Headteacher, Mr Phil Holton. We also suggest that you visit our website.
