Job title: Learning Support Assistant to cover a Maternity Leave
Hours: 33 per week
Grade Salary: Scale 2 - depending on experience
Contract: Fixed Term Contract for two terms (possibility will be extended for the right candidate)
Date Required:January 2021
Larkrise Primary school (as part of the Eveleigh Link Academy Trust) are seeking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to cover a maternity leave.
The post will involve working under the direction of the class teacher and inclusion manager. It will involve working with groups of children, or individuals on a one-to-one basis, depending on the needs of the class.
The hours for the post includes lunchtime supervision.
The contract will be on a fixed term basis until 31 August 2021.
The ideal candidate will:
have at least GCSE Grade C or equivalent in maths and English
have had experience of working in schools
have experience of supporting children with special educational needs
have a good understanding of how children learn
have outstanding behaviour management strategies
be able to lead games and supervise children effectively during playtimes and lunchtimes
be flexible and able to use their own initiative
be able to work as part of a team
have excellent communication skills
be energetic, enthusiastic and have a passion for supporting children with their learning
The Eveleigh LINK Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS.
