Teaching Assistant required for the specific role of
Physical and Sensory Impairment
Salary: LGS Band 3W
£13,626 - £16,840
30 hours per week - 39 weeks per year (term time only)
We are seeking to appoint an experienced and supportive Teaching Assistant for the above specialist role.
The successful candidate would be expected to:
Liaise with specialist teacher, outside agencies, teachers, parents/carers andstudents in Area of Need
Assist with the development and implementation of student passports, including One Planning
To lead internal training and support for TAs and teachers for area of responsibility
Research, devise and support individualised learning programmes for studentsand supervise students when required
To support and assist in the transition of students from Key stage 2 and into Post 16 education
Support students in class and on a 1:1 basis
Liaise with and report to the SENCo
Be able and willing to work as a team
Be able to work under direction and on own initiative
