Term time 32.5 hours/week (8.30am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday). Required November 2019

A great opportunity has arisen for a specialist behaviour support assistant to work with children with social and emotional wellbeing needs in an innovative provision based at Braiswick Primary School.

GROW is an alternative education provision for a small number of children in KS1 or KS2 who are not progressing in school because of the barriers caused by behaviour, emotional or social needs. GROW provides each child with a personalised curriculum for their individual needs. This is monitored and reviewed carefully. Children work within the designated GROW learning space and within an identified mainstream class (when approprite) in the main school. More information about GROW can be found at www.growessex.uk.

If you have the skills and previous experience this may be for you. You will definitely need to have bags of energy, patience and resilience to be able to work in a small team. You will receive a full induction into the role, ongoing training and support for this rewarding work.

In the first instance you can contact Trudie Spiller (tspiller@braiswickprimary.org.uk) to get further information regarding the job description and details. Contracts are initially for a fixed term until August 2020 in line with the current three year funding but will be extended for a further three years on confirmation of the next funding agreement.

We recommend you visit the provision to help you decide whether this is a role for you.
