Canonium Learning Trust, winner of TES Trust of the Year (9 schools or fewer) 2025, is seeking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant and Midday Assistant to join Woodham Walter CE Primary Academy.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting class teachers to deliver lessons that enable pupils of all abilities to flourish. You will help create a positive and inclusive learning environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a patient and understanding approach, alongside a high level of vigilance and adaptability. You should be confident working collaboratively as part of a team, while also being able to use your own initiative when required.
This position is for 21.5 hours per week working Tuesday to Friday.
The appointed individual will also be required as part of their role within the school to provide 1.5 hours per week of lunchtime cover as a Midday Assistant. The focus of this role is to take care and control of all the children on the school premises during the lunch break, ensuring the safety and good conduct of pupils in both the dinner hall and outside areas.
Our school operates mixed-age classes and provides an environment where children develop academically, socially, and emotionally in a meaningful and purposeful way.
The working patterns are:
- Tuesday 9-12pm as LSA, an hours lunch break + 1-3pm as LSA (there is no lunchduty required on this day)
- Wednesday to Friday - 9-12pm as LSA, 30 minute lunchtime duty and 30 minute lunch break + 1-3pm as LSA
The salaries are:
- LSA - £12,107.16 per annum
- MDA - £879.93 per annum
