Trust HR Advisor
37 Hours per Week (Part-Time Considered for the Right Candidate)
Term Time Only
Fixed Term until 31 August 2026
NJC Scale 6
Based at our central site in Elmstead Market, with occassional travel to schools within the Trust.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, professional and customer-focused HR Advisor to join our newly formed Central HR Team.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing HR function that supports schools across our Trust. Working closely with Headteachers, senior leaders and colleagues, you will provide practical HR advice, support employee relations matters, coordinate recruitment activity and help ensure our schools receive a high-quality, responsive HR service.
The role is being offered on an initial fixed-term basis until 31 August 2026 to provide additional capacity whilst we assess the longer-term requirements of our newly established HR team.
What You'll Be Doing
- Providing HR advice and guidance to managers across the Trust.
- Supporting schools and Lead HR Advisors on employee relations casework, including attendance, probation, performance and conduct matters.
- Assisting with recruitment and onboarding processes
- Supporting schools with HR policies, procedures and best practice.
- Maintaining accurate employee records and HR systems.
- Updating contracts and processing payroll changes.
- Contributing to projects that support the continued development of the Central HR function.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking someone who:
- Has experience working within an HR environment.
- Is confident advising managers and building positive working relationships.
- Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Can manage a varied workload and prioritise effectively.
- Demonstrates professionalism, discretion and attention to detail.
- Is passionate about delivering excellent customer service.
A CIPD qualification, or working towards one, would be advantageous but is not essential.
