Salary: £35,000 to £40,000

Contract: Permanent

Start Date: January 2027

Teach Where Relationships Come First

We are seeking a compassionate, creative, and resilient Class Teacher to join our specialist provision for students aged 13-18. Our School works closely with our children's homes to provide a consistent, nurturing, and trauma-informed environment where children feel safe, understood, and able to learn.

This is a role for a Teacher who believes in the power of connection, who sees behaviour as communication, and who is committed to helping young people rebuild trust in education.

Your Role

  • Delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to meet the learning needs of the students
  • Creating a calm, structured, and emotionally safe classroom environment
  • Using trauma-informed strategies to support regulation, resilience, and positive relationships
  • Working closely with the children's home team to ensure consistency across home and school
  • Planning personalised learning pathways that build confidence and celebrate progress
  • Using assessment to inform teaching and track holistic development
  • Supporting students with social, emotional, and communication needs
  • Contributing to a multi-disciplinary approach that places the child at the centre

What We're Looking For

  • A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent)
  • Experience teaching secondary-aged students, ideally within SEMH/SEND settings
  • Strong subject knowledge, particularly Maths and Science
  • The ability to deliver engaging lessons
  • A relational, reflective, and child-centred approach
  • Confidence in adapting the curriculum to meet diverse needs
  • Strong behaviour support skills grounded in empathy and understanding
  • Excellent communication and teamwork, especially across care and education
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

What We Offer

  • A supportive, trauma-informed team culture
  • Close collaboration with the residential team to ensure joined-up care
  • Small class sizes and a high staff-to-student ratio
  • Ongoing CPD, trauma-informed practice, and therapeutic approaches
  • A chance to make a profound difference in the lives of children who deserve stability, belief, and opportunity
