Class Teacher

Full time - 5 days per week

Essex Main Scale 1-6 (depending on experience)

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, reflective and committed full-time Class Teacher to join our friendly village primary school from January 2027. The successful candidate will teach within one of our mixed-age classes, with the year group and key stage confirmed following appointment, taking account of the successful candidate's experience and strengths alongside the school's staffing structure. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who enjoys building strong relationships, creating a calm and purposeful classroom culture, and helping pupils to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

· Are passionate about children's learning, development and wellbeing, with high expectations for every pupil.

· Build positive, respectful relationships with pupils, colleagues and families.

· Understand and actively promote safeguarding and the welfare of children.

· Plan and deliver engaging, well-sequenced lessons and adapt teaching effectively to meet a range of needs.

· Use clear routines, strong classroom practice and consistent approaches to support learning and behaviour.

· Are reflective practitioners who are keen to develop and contribute positively to the wider life of the school.

· Are willing to teach within a mixed-age class. Previous mixed-age experience is welcomed but is not essential.
