We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and proactive Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our dedicated SEND team. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be working under the direction of the SENDCo providing 1:1 support. This role involves working closely with a child in EYFS who has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) to support their transition into school life.
You will play a key role in helping to deliver the individualised provision outlined in the child's EHCP, supporting their social, emotional, and academic development within a nurturing and inclusive environment.
We are looking for an individual who is eager to learn, implement innovative strategies and demonstrate patience and empathy in their practice. Experience in supporting young pupils would be beneficial. Previous experience in supporting vulnerable pupils particularly those with ASD or high needs will also be highly valued.
This role involves providing consistent support to a child across the wider school environment. As the child may move between different areas of the school throughout the day, the role will not be exclusively classroom-based and will require flexibility to support the child wherever needed.

Working hours for this role are Monday to Friday, 8.45am - 3.15pm.
Actual salary starts at £18,160 per annum. This role is to start on 2nd November 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.
This role is initially offered on a fixed-term basis due to end dateon 31st December 2026. However, there is scope thatthe contract will be extended beyond this.

The village of Langham is in the beautiful Dedham Vale area, just to the North East of Colchester and we are within easy reach of the A12. The school is part of a thriving cluster of small schools, with which we work closely to promote wider opportunities for our pupils and provide development for our staff.
We have four classes: Class 1(Reception and Year 1); Class 2 (Year 2); Class 3 (Years 3 & 4); Class 4 (Years 5 & 6)
