Great Waltham Church of England Primary School is a good school that aims to provide the very best education for the children in our care. We are looking for an additional Midday Assistant to play an important part in ensuring that our lunchtimes are happy, safe and enjoyable for all our children.

**This role could be split between two people covering different days during the week. Please enquire for further details.**

Hours and Salary
Part time: 6.25 hours per week
Working hours: 12:00pm - 1:15pm, Monday to Friday
Contract: Term time only - 38 weeks per year
FTE salary: £26,016-£26,427 per annum
Actual salary: £3,675-£3,733 per annum (pro rata)

We are looking for a friendly and adaptable Midday Assistant to:
Set up the hall in preparation for lunch, including putting up tables.
Help younger children with their food when required.
Wipe tables, clear spillages and help tidy the hall ready for afternoon activities.
Supervise children in the lunch hall and playground.
Encourage imaginative play, both indoors and outdoors.
Promote and maintain good behaviour.
Administer first aid when required.
Clear away at the end of the session, including putting tables down and sweeping/mopping the floor.
You must be able to work effectively as part of a team, enjoy working with children and demonstrate good communication and organisational skills, along with patience and understanding.

Some cleaning and administrative duties will also be required.

Full training, including basic first aid, will be provided.
