We are seeking an Assistant Headteacher to support the Headteacher in leading Leigh North Street Primary School to achieve high standards, continuous improvement, and a high-quality education for all pupils.

The successful candidate will contribute to the leadership, management, and organisation of the school, including carrying out teaching duties and deputising for the Headteacher when required. They will lead the development and quality of the wider curriculum (foundation subjects), ensuring strong teaching, assessment, and pupil outcomes, and driving improvement through effective monitoring, staff development, and curriculum evaluation.

They will also oversee provision and outcomes for disadvantaged pupils, manage funding strategies, and ensure inclusive, high-quality support. Key leadership responsibilities will include staff line management, performance management, CPD, timetabling, and event organisation, alongside supporting behaviour, parental engagement, and community cohesion. The role also includes acting as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead.
