Our friendly and welcoming voluntary aided Church of England primary school, with 452 pupils, is seeking to appoint a Catering Assistant to join our dedicated kitchen team.
Hours: 14.75 hours per week, term time only
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 11.00am to 1.45pm
Wednesday: 10.00am to 1.45pm
We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable individual who has experience of preparing and cooking healthy, homemade meals, ideally within a busy catering environment. Working as part of a team of four catering assistants, you will help prepare, cook and serve nutritious meals made from fresh ingredients each day.
The successful candidate will:
- Have experience of food preparation and cooking.
- Be able to work efficiently as part of a team.
- Demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality meals for children.
- Have good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Be friendly, flexible and willing to contribute to the wider life of the school.
- Experience of school catering and working with children would be advantageous, although not essential.
