We are seeking an inspiring, enthusiastic and committed Year 2 class teacher to join our thriving Prep School on a fixed-term maternity cover contract.

This is an exciting opportunity for an excellent classroom practitioner to become part of a warm, supportive and ambitious school community where pupils are encouraged to achieve their personal best and develop a lifelong love of learning.

The successful candidate will be a creative and dedicated teacher who can deliver engaging lessons, foster high academic standards and contribute fully to the wider life of the school.

Who/what is Thorpe Hall School looking for?

• Has Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Has experience of teaching within Key Stage 1.
• Demonstrates excellent classroom practice and strong subject knowledge.
• Creates a positive, nurturing and stimulating learning environment.
• Has high expectations of achievement, behaviour and personal development.
• Works effectively as part of a team and contributes to the wider life of the school.
