Job Advert: Teaching Assistant
Scale 4, Point 8-9, commencing September 2026
£26823.80 - £27254.10 FTE, Pro rata salary £19657.13 to £19972.47
Full-time - 1 year fixed term contract
32.5 hours per week - 5 days per week
We are seeking a friendly, experienced, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our EYFS and KS1 team at Belchamp St Paul C of E Primary School. Working under the guidance of teaching staff, you will play an important role in supporting pupils' learning and development within a nurturing and inclusive environment.
This position is for 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The role is initially offered on a fixed-term contract until 31st August 2027.

The successful candidate must:
• Be able to implement planned learning activities/teaching programmes as agreed with the teacher, adjusting activities according to pupils' responses as appropriate.
• Have successful experience working with children in a school/early years environment.
• Establish positive relationships with pupils supported.
• Promote the inclusion and acceptance of children with special needs within the classroom ensuring access to lessons and their content through appropriate clarification, explanation and resources
• Display a professional attitude
• Remain calm under pressure
• Communicate well with parents, carers and members of staff, as well as pupils
• Be committed to supporting the values and ethos of our Church school.
