St Teresa's Catholic Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and committed Learning Support Assistant to join our dedicated and supportive team.

The hours are: 8.45am -3.15pm Monday to Friday - Term time only plus one INSET day per year.

Whilst our Learning Support Assistants work flexibly across the school to meet the needs of our pupils, this position will initially be based in Lower Key Stage 2 for the 2026-2027 academic year.

This is a varied and rewarding role which balances supporting pupils to achieve their very best whilst working alongside and supporting the class teacher to deliver high-quality teaching and learning.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience of supporting children in a primary school setting.
  • Be confident in delivering high-quality reading, writing and mathematics interventions, with a good understanding of how children learn and make progress in these areas.
  • Build warm, positive relationships whilst maintaining high expectations for all pupils.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and colleagues as part of a strong, supportive team.
  • Be adaptable, organised and proactive.
  • Share our belief that every member of staff is a joyous teacher of SEND, taking collective responsibility for ensuring every child is known, included and enabled to flourish.
