Monday to Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm (37 hrs per week)
Scale 8, point 25 to 28
Actual salary £32,724 to £35,184, inc. Outer Fringe Allowance
Term time plus 2 weeks

Our friendly school is looking to appoint an enthusiastic School Business Manager to join a highly motivated team.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised person to join our school, working closely with the school's Headteacher and the Trust's Chief Financial Officer. The successful candidate needs to be self-motivated, able to use their initiative, work to tight deadlines, be proactive and possess the ability to 'think on their feet'.
The Business Manager will be required to provide financial leadership including planning, forecasting, budget setting and management, preparation of accounts and statutory reporting. Along with maintaining and developing the administrative and financial procedures and systems of the school in co-operation with the other members of the Senior Management Team and Governors, the successful candidate will also advise the Senior Management Team on all non-teaching matters to contribute to the successful and effective operation of the school.
Flexibility, resilience, honesty, integrity and an ability to prioritise are essential together with a high level of IT skills. This role involves line managing staff so the ability to motivate and inspire is essential along with good communication skills both written and oral.
Previous finance experience within a school setting would be desirable, although not essential as full training will be provided. Ongoing support will be provided by the Trust CFO, Trust Director of HR, and Trust Director of Estates.


We are looking for a School Business Manager who:
Has a visible presence in the school
Will support the Senior Management Team, contributing to strategic planning and decision making, and attend Governing Body meetings.
Be responsible for all aspects of finance, HR, H&S, administration and operations support, including school clubs.
