We are seeking a proactive, reliable and hardworking Caretaker to join the site team of Northwick Park Trust. Start date and hours per week are flexible for the right candidate.
Hours of work are 37.5 per week, 52.14 weeks per year. Usual working pattern 6am to 2pm, with 30 min break, or split shift if preferred.
The annual salary for this position is within the range £25,928.72 - £27,186.49 but may be negotiable based on experience and skills.
Main duties include:
- Opening and closing of Trust premises
- Ensuring site security is maintained
- Completing a range of weekly, monthly and annual health and safety checks and maintaining accurate records
- Minor and general maintenance around Trust sites
- Completing some cleaning responsibilities in the event of staff absence
- Carrying out deep cleaning tasks during school holidays
The successful candidate will be flexible and reliable with excellent time management, have a proactive attitude but able to follow direction and adhere to health and safety procedures.
It would be desirable if the candidate has knowledge of health and safety, Legionella awareness, working at height and Asbestos awareness or is willing to attend training.
You may be based at any of the three schools within our Trust which are all located in Canvey Island. Your main site will be confirmed in advance and will be based on operational needs.You will need adriving licence and vehicle to move between the three schools.
