Testimonials from HEARTS Trainee Counsellors

HEARTS Academy Trust's induction was very thorough, I felt comfortable and confident in the schools I was working in. I knew who I needed to talk to etc, and the policies and procedures of each school. My placement was a very positive experience and I enjoyed my time at HEARTS

Although placements can feel daunting, the experience I had with HEARTS couldn't have made me feel more at ease. From the induction, through to the actual role, I felt fully supported. HEARTS went above and beyond to ensure that across all school settings, they had someone on hand if I needed some guidance. Nothing ever felt too big or too silly to ask. I didn't just feel as though I was there for work experience I felt like a valid member of the team. I feel the client work given gave me a well-rounded experience, the opportunities for extra training & broader experiences exceeded expectations setting me up for my career ahead. Compared to other colleagues within my learning group my placement gave greater care, consistency, and support which I believe is paramount when entering the world of mental health.

The level of support, guidance and professionalism I receive as a Trainee Counsellor on placement is outstanding.  I love being part of the HEARTS family
