Midday Assistant Vacany

Permanent contract

7.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday) 12noon - 1:30pm - Term time only

Salary - Band 1 - Point 6 - Actual salary £4,313 - £4,475 p.a.

Start Date: 1st September 2026

The Christus Catholic Trust and the Local Governing Committee of this vibrant and successful school, wish to appoint a Midday Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated staff team. We are a 3 form entry school, located on an attractive site, catering for around 630 pupils from a community which embraces diversity. The suitable candidate will be:

  • Be enthusiastic, confident and able to show initiative and resilience

The successful applicant would be expected to:

  • Assist and supervise children at lunchtime in the hall and on the playground
  • Lead games and activites with the children
  • Clear spillages, tables and chairs
  • Administer basic first aid
  • Be trustworthy and professional
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Work collaboratly with colleagues
  • Ensure school security and safeguarding arrangements are complied with
  • Be fully supportive of the Catholic ethos of the school
