Highwood Primary School is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable SENCo to join our dedicated team from September 2026. This is a unique opportunity to work within a small, nurturing primary school where every child is truly known and supported to thrive.

The role: This part-time position (0.5 day per week, flexible) would suit an existing or experienced SENCo who is looking to expand their experience or take on an additional leadership role alongside their current position.
You will:
· Lead and oversee SEND provision across the school
· Support colleagues in delivering high-quality, inclusive teaching
· Work closely with families, staff, and external agencies
· Ensure statutory responsibilities are met and provision is impactful
· Uphold our inclusive culture and drive continuous improvement

What we are looking for:
· Qualified teacher status (QTS)
· National Award for SEN Coordination (or working towards it)
· Experience of leading or contributing to SEND provision
· Strong knowledge of current SEND legislation and best practice
· A commitment to inclusion and high expectations for all pupils
