Caretaker (Runwell Community Primary School part of the Woodham Hub)
Salary: £26,824 - £27,254 | Full-time | 37 hours per week (52 weeks)

We are looking for a reliable and hands-on Caretaker to help keep our school sites safe, secure and running smoothly every day.

This is a split shift role offering the best of both worlds:
Morning shift:07:00 - 10:30
Afternoon shift:14:00 - 18:00
Midday break gives you time for life admin, family commitments, or personal interests, ideal if you value flexibility or want to structure your day differently.
About the Role
As a key member of our site team, you will:
Open and secure school buildings
Carry out day-to-day maintenance and repairs
Complete health & safety checks and site inspections
Support events, lettings and school activities
Keep grounds clean, safe and well-presented
Respond to site issues, alarms and emergencies
You will work closely with the Head of School and Premises Manager to keep everything running smoothly.

Practical and proactive
Reliable, flexible and able to work independently
Comfortable with basic maintenance and physical tasks
Committed to safety, safeguarding and high standards
A great team player with a positive attitude
Experience in caretaking, maintenance or facilities is ideal-but just as important is your willingness to learn and take pride in your work.
